Oh Beautiful Hols

Ah, finally, exams are all over, it's such a wonderful feeling. Finished exams this afternoon and felt like it was a Saturday, so care-free and all. Today's stats paper was really hard, I took comfort in knowing that others found it hard as well, so there's a high chance that we'll get scaled up. Man, I stayed up the whole night just studying for it and yes it was as hard as I expected, haha, oh stats you're such a killer, you make us die prematurely. But honestly, I could easily say that it was the toughest paper I've sat for in my life, thus, I was really worried if I could even get a credit for it.

Worry, the word itself just seems like a sin already, I think that worry should be a taboo. It comes naturally as part of our natural reaction to things in life, exams (eg. driving exams haha, congrats Nat), money (more for adults), loved ones (a mum's worry for her chidlren is able to keep them awake the whole night), interviews, job, list goes on.. Crazy!

We should take worry merely as a trigger. It tells us that we ought to do something in our part to get rid of it, eg. if you're worried bout the coming exams, study and prepare. That being said, there's only to a certain extent we can do in our part, sometimes we can't even do anything about it. except to worry I guess. "I've done all I can, but I'm still worried!" And I'll go like, "Dude, you've done all you can already, what are you worrying about?". If you've done all you can, or if there's not even a thing you can do about it, please don't worry. No amount of worrying is then gonna make things better, instead, I think it does the opposite.

"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own"

"The reason why worry kills more people than work is that more people worry than work" Robert Frost

"How much pain have worries cost us that have never happened?"
3rd US president

"To worry is a sin. Only one sort of worry is permissible; to worry because one worries"

"Set aside half an hour every day to do all your worrying; then take a nap during this period"

"Perpetual worry will get you to one place ahead of time -- the cemetery"

"Worry is the interest paid by those who borrow trouble"
1st US president
(Haha! actuarial coursemates I know you love this quote)

"The freedom now desired by many is not freedom
to do and dare but freedom from worry and care"
James Truslow Adams

"There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who
has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever"
Mahatma Ghandhi

"Why worry when you can pray?"

"Happy is the man who has broken the chains which hurt the mind,
and has given up worrying once and for all"

I shall strive to not worry and not to use the word worry anymore haha. That aside, slept about 5 hours from 2-7pm when I got back after the stats exam. Bro woke me up for pizza. Seiko was here when I got up as well, she cooked us corn soup and garlic bread. Ah pizza~ bestest food in the world. It was supposedly to celebrate the end of my exams, that's what they said haha, how true izzit? Or izzit just a reason for Seiko to come? Ngeh, jk, thx a lot! =D Watched "Million Dollar Baby", very sad. And then went online! Finally! But didn't last long, ended up in bed at like 12.30am cos I was just tired. And cos of all that sleeping I woke up so early (5am), so thought I'll go blog.

Wei Liang is coming to Sydney tmr! Ah, haven't met since I left Msia, looking forward to meeting up with him, will be taking him around Sydney. He's staying for a week at our apartment. I think I'll really enjoy this hols.

June:
Wei Liang stays from 23rd till 29th

July:
Nicholas stays from 2nd till 7th
Fang, Mel and her 2 frens stays from 10th till 18th
Gene stays from 10th till 22nd
Kok Ken stays after 22nd for about a week

I wonder what grandparents will think when they find out about it, they went back to Msia to escape the winter and are now staying with my parents and Ivan. I'm amazed that none of their stays clashes, but that also means that I might be going to some of the places in Sydney more than once. Money ='( Not complaining, it'll be money spend well. I might be a professional tour guide once Gene they all come haha.

Joyness =D Oh beautiful hols
To those who are still sitting for exams, all the best!
Do your best and we shall all strive to not worry and just be happy =)

Pasta pasta pasta!

Exams are so close!
BERSTRESS
Fuh I love the videos Fang, made my stress level decrease
Probably won't be going online or blogging till the end of exams
20 days more, I can't wait

As some would know, grandparents went back to Msia so bro and I are alone at the apartment..
Went grocery shopping in Woolworth for the first time since they left cos food is running out..
We thought of having spaghetti, fried rice, porridge, sandwich and some veggie dishes with rice

So, first attempt at cooking, spaghetti!
We also thought of just cooking for 1 whole week all at once, saves our time

Should've took a pic while we were cooking it, only thought of snapping a pic after we finish, sorry!
Anyway, I loved it!

Italian food are simply our favourite,
I think I'm beginning to understand how some can like cooking although it takes ages compare to the time you take to eat it
It's like.. you cook for 30-60mins, and you finish it in 5 mins!
That was what I thought, but cooking is actually quite fun, some of my guy friends should try it at least once, hahaha

It's the satisfaction of cooking up something for yourself that actually taste good when you eat it for yourself,
also I like the part where we get to put in anything you like, hahaha, yesh, anything =)
Could make a super duper spicy dish, or a super salty one or a super sweet one it's your preference, and you can put in only the veggies that you like

If I have more free time in the hols, I think I'll try cooking up something more adventurous haha, oooooh, someone give me a pizza recipe please

Random stuff - Just yesterday we were making fun of Mel of how a bird gave her a beautiful present on top of her head, and today, I stepped on poo! Aihh, took me like 20 minutes to get it cleaned up and wow awesome smell. It was at night and for some reason Australian streets at night are really really dark, they don't have many street lights and so you can barely see what you're stepping on. I didn't even realise I stepped on it till I got back and saw a leaf stuck to my shoe.

Ahh, sorry la Mel, next time I won't laugh at you di, after you'll pray again that something bad happens to me =(

It's officially winter!
Ah yesterday and today, woke up shivering cos it was raining,
and it's only gonna get colder from now on haha
Oooo cold winter nights
I think 4 seasons does make the year more interesting, with different flowers blossoming in different seasons and for other reasons as well

See everyone in 3 weeks time,
all the best for everyone who're having exams soon
Do your best, study as hard as you can, and we'll have no regrets knowing we did our best
Let's all have fun after exams!
